Creating Common Ground

Safe Schools Coalition of Seymour, IN

The Safe Schools Community Coalition is made up of parents, educators, local community leaders, concerned citizens, local social service agencies and cultural organizations.  It is our goal to provide teachers and community groups with resources to help make our schools and communities safe for all.  The coalition offers free diversity resource booklets, a lending library, diversity trainers and speakers. It is our hope that together we can take steps towards ending school and community violence, thus creating a greater sense of harmony within our community. The Safe Schools Community Coalition was pleased to present all teachers in the fall of 2002 with Creating Common Ground, a resource guide for free Multicultural/Diversity educational materials. This guide was made possible through a grant from The Community Foundation of Jackson County. It is our hope that this web site will be a resource for educators and leaders of community groups.
