What is the Kids First Council?

We are a group of citizens and organizations concerned about the abuse of children in Jackson County.

We work to provide information to PREVENT child abuse. How?

We help with coordinating child abuse PREVENTION efforts around the county. How?

We assist with PREVENTION curriculum in the county's school systems. How?

We encourage every citizen to become knowledgable and involved in the effort to PREVENT child abuse. How?

By providing brochures and informational materials at Kids Fest, Oktoberfest, Brownstown's Watermelon Festival, the Jackson County Fair and other venues. Top

By including many organizations and individuals in our Council. As a result, many people work together for children. Participants include: Girls, Inc., Red Cross, Brownstown Central Community Schools, Division of Family and Children, Healthy Families, Quinco, in addition to parents, teachers and concerned citizens. By supporting the Kid Ability Program now taught in most third grade classes in Jackson County, and the Bridgework Players Programs presented in county schools. Top
